Welcome to the New Fun Banking
Over the past few months, we’ve been hard at work redesigning and improving Fun Banking from the ground up. Our goal has always been simple: make classroom banking easier, more realistic, and more engaging for teachers, students, and families.
Today, we’re excited to introduce the new Fun Banking experience.
A Fresh New Look
The new website has been redesigned to be faster, easier to navigate, and more intuitive for both new and experienced users. Whether you’re managing a classroom economy, teaching financial literacy, or helping students understand real-world money concepts, everything is now easier to access and manage.
But this update is about much more than just a new design.
Support for Multiple Currencies
Fun Banking now supports multiple currencies.
Teachers around the world can create banks using the currency that makes the most sense for their classroom. Whether you’re teaching in the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, or elsewhere, students can now learn using familiar currency symbols and formats.
Financial literacy shouldn’t be limited by geography, and this update helps make Fun Banking more accessible to classrooms everywhere.
Benefits of Multi-Currency Support
- Create banks using your local currency
- Teach students using familiar money formats
- Better support for international classrooms
- More realistic financial literacy experiences
Introduce Students to Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
We’re also excited to introduce Certificates of Deposit (CDs).
CDs allow students to experience a new type of savings account that rewards long-term planning and patience. Students can lock away funds for a set period of time and earn interest in return, creating opportunities to discuss:
- Long-term saving strategies
- Interest and compound growth
- Opportunity cost
- Financial planning
It’s a great way to bring more advanced personal finance concepts into the classroom in a hands-on way.
New School Accounts
Built for schools, as a school admin, you can purchase one subscription and pass it down to teachers under the same domain name.
Collaborate with Classroom Contributors
One of our most requested features is finally here: Bank Contributors.
You can now invite other teachers, aides, administrators, or trusted staff members to help manage a bank.
Contributors can assist with daily operations, account management, and student transactions without needing to share login credentials. This makes collaboration easier and helps schools run larger classroom economy programs across multiple educators.
Whether you’re co-teaching, working with paraprofessionals, or coordinating a school-wide initiative, contributors make teamwork simple.
Performance Improvements
Alongside these new features, we’ve made significant improvements behind the scenes.
- Faster page loads
- Improved navigation
- Better mobile experience
- Streamlined bank management
- Enhanced reliability and stability
Our goal is to make Fun Banking feel faster and easier to use every day.
Built for the Future
These updates are just the beginning.
Our mission remains the same: helping students build financial literacy through hands-on learning experiences that are fun, engaging, and realistic.
We’re incredibly grateful to all the teachers, families, and students who continue to use Fun Banking every day. Your feedback directly shapes the platform, and many of the features released in this update came from suggestions submitted by our community.
We’re excited for what’s next and can’t wait to continue building the best classroom banking platform available.
Thank you for being part of the Fun Banking community.
